As well as being the club of choice for members of An Garda
Siochana in the Dublin Metropolitan Region it is also the local
club in the Westmanstown area and the local community enjoy
the excellent facilities it provides.

Garda Rugby Club
The club was founded in February 1965 by rugby enthusiasts at the Garda Station in Pearse Street.
One of their first coaches was the former Ireland and British Lions prop Gordon Wood, who was also the father of rugby icon Keith Wood.
His memory is honoured by the Gordon Wood Trophy, competed for annually by the Garda and the Irish Defence Forces rugby team.

The club was founded in 1995 and boasts one of the largest finest grass bowling greens in Ireland.
The club is now represented by five Ladies and eight Gents teams in the Summer Outdoor Leagues, two teams in the Winter Outdoor League and five teams in the Indoor Short Mat Leagues.
